Early support and recognition of this rising young talent who had made his studio debut with the Ruff Cutt band aged 11, came from local sound system operators and pirate radio stations, and soon led to his link up with Stonebridge stars Suncycle Crew. The members were soon burning and the young artist next landed a series of killer link ups with the likes of Kray Twinz, Twista and MC Lethal B. It was his initial hit for the legendary Peckings crew “Mountain Top” that really lit the blue touch paper and when the follow up “Heaven in My Eyes” bust international, Gappy found himself in the driving seat of an unstoppable rocket to stardom.
to di world wk9 interviews with NATEL & MR VEGAS & CAPLETON

Capleton (born Clifton George Bailey III, 13 April 1967, Saint Mary, Jamaica) is a Jamaican reggae and dancehall artist. He is also referred to as King Shango, King David, The Fireman and The Prophet. His record label is called David House Productions. He is known for his Rastafari movement views expressed in his songs.
As a youth, he was given the surname of a popular St. Mary lawyer and friend of the family, Capleton, as a nickname by his relatives and friends.[2] Capleton rejects the name given to him at birth, given its European origin. He now prefers “King Shango”, given its roots in the Yoruba language
Smith was born in Kingston in 1974.The moniker “Mr. Vegas” was given to Smith by his schoolyard football-mates, who thought that he kicked the ball like a Las Vegas dancer. In his early years as a singjay, Vegas sang covers of Jamaican hits at local parties and shows, and acquired a reputation as a troublemaker. During a scuffle over stolen master tapes, Vegas was hit in the face with a crowbar and had his jaw wired shut for six weeks. Vegas claims that, after hearing Beenie Man’s hit “Who Am I”, he immediately demanded that his still-healing jaw be unwired, changing his speech pattern but allowing him to practice toasting.
