An amalgamation of popular dancehall bangers to the softer sounding vocals, mixed together with the ‘wickedest’ dubplates from names like Konshens and Tony Matterhorn.

This cd highlights the musical talents of the ever popular World Boss, Kartel and his Gaza camp mashing up every riddim they touch; with artists such as Popcaan and Gaza Slim making their presence felt on the Summertime and Lost Angel.

With favourites on the Overproof, Contra, V6, Snap Back and Summerfling riddim that features a dancehall sounding Tarrus Riley and sounds of Movado; this CD perfectly sums up dancehall for the year 2011.

Gappy Ranks and Stylo G from out of the UK also make their mark on this mix; proving why they deserve their place in the Dancehall music scene.

Tarrus Riley’s foray into music was inevitable. The talented singer and songwriter were always surrounded by music from an early age. His father is veteran reggae singer Jimmy Riley. Riley has learnt a lot by merely being in the environment of the music business. He caught on very quickly and made his recording debut as a teenager. “I’ve always loved music; I used to deejay but everyone used to encourage me to sing. They used to call me “Singy Singy” because I was always singing,” Riley commented.

Now hear Tarrus Riley trying is skills at interviewing Gussy(Silver Star Sound) about his music……..

Gappy Ranks born and grown Harlesden NW10. Father Jamaican, Mother Dominican, a good combination like Rice & Peas. Early support and recognition of this rising young talent who had made his studio debut with the Ruff Cutt band aged 11, came from local sound system operators and pirate radio stations, and soon led to his link up with Stonebridge stars Suncycle Crew. The members were soon burning and the young artist next landed a series of killer link ups with the likes of Kray Twinz, Twista and MC Lethal B. It was his initial hit for the legendary Peckings crew “Mountain Top” that really lit the blue touch paper and when the follow up “Heaven in My Eyes” bust international, Gappy found himself in the driving seat of an unstoppable rocket to stardom.
Capleton (born Clifton George Bailey III, 13 April 1967, Saint Mary, Jamaica) is a Jamaican reggae and dancehall artist. He is also referred to as King Shango, King David, The Fireman and The Prophet. His record label is called David House Productions. He is known for his Rastafari movement views expressed in his songs.
As a youth, he was given the surname of a popular St. Mary lawyer and friend of the family, Capleton, as a nickname by his relatives and friends.[2] Capleton rejects the name given to him at birth, given its European origin. He now prefers “King Shango”, given its roots in the Yoruba language

Smith was born in Kingston in 1974.The moniker “Mr. Vegas” was given to Smith by his schoolyard football-mates, who thought that he kicked the ball like a Las Vegas dancer. In his early years as a singjay, Vegas sang covers of Jamaican hits at local parties and shows, and acquired a reputation as a troublemaker. During a scuffle over stolen master tapes, Vegas was hit in the face with a crowbar and had his jaw wired shut for six weeks. Vegas claims that, after hearing Beenie Man’s hit “Who Am I”, he immediately demanded that his still-healing jaw be unwired, changing his speech pattern but allowing him to practice toasting.
At an early age young Byiome always had a passion for music and used to be fascinated by the Reggae culture. Though being a Reggae star was a gift he didn’t think he could possess. Even though Byiome had good grades in school he also had some turbulent times. While attending Garvey Maceo High School he got into trouble and was suspended.
